I am so over the moon happy for Tiffany and Chris. I have known Chris since he was a baby. He is the son of a very dear couple I have known for over 30 years. I met Tiffany for the first time at this shoot. She was super prepared. All kinds of great props, ideas and a great energy and spirit. We did two locations for this shoot. First we did and evening shoot on Daniel Island after a nice dinner with a live concert from the Family Circle Stadium providing a background of music. The next day we headed to downtown Charleston and took a walk around some of the historic homes and side streets. All my best to this incredible couple!
Christine and John came down to Charleston from Chapel Hill, N.C. They wanted to get married at the Angel Oak Tree an important landmark here in the lowcountry. Well it rained most of the day and rained hard. So what! Friends and family made the trip to the Angel Oak and they were married in the pouring rain. They are the most easy going couple you would be lucky to meet, they were so awesome all day long. We did a wonderful first look in the rain ( see previous post) and it wasn’t until near late at the reception did it finally stop raining. So we headed out to the Waterfront Park area and found lots of water. We embraced to large pools of water and the stormy skies. As you can see in the last few pictures, it was a long and exciting day and evening! All my best.
I love “first looks”! They are always filled with joy and emotion. Christine and John agreed to have me capture that very moment when they see each other before the wedding. I am the only other person in the area and far back with my long telephoto lens. Brides and grooms always quickly forget I am around and are totally focused on one another.
A beautiful fall afternoon at the Creek Club at I’on was the backdrop for this wonderful wedding of Jamie and Jack! This fun and spirited couple were married by the sensational Christy Loftin on the lawn of the Mount Pleasant based I’on Creek Club overlooking some incredible views. After first dances and cake cutting, We were able to take a walk around the grounds just about at sunset and captured some memory lasting images.
Ashlyn and Alex were married on a beautiful Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist Church in Charleston. I photographed this wonderful couple earlier in the year during their engagement session. They are sweet and kind and a blast to work with. I was so honored to be able to capture their wedding day with family and friends. The reception was held at the South Carolina Society Hall. Everyone had a fantastic time with plenty of dancing and special moments.
