  • Welcome and enjoy your visit!

Hello and welcome to my blog/website.

I really hope you like what you see here. My style is a combination of fun, journalistic ( no posing) and fine art. My background as a fine arts painter and photojournalist gives me a unique perspective when shooting my weddings.

My paintings hang in galleries and private collections. My corporate photography clients is a virtual who's who in education, fortune 500 companies and stock agencies.

But weddings are my first love! I try and capture moments and emotions of the day, all with ease and fun.

I only shoot about 25 weddings each year, by design, so I can spend as much time as I feel necessary to delivery a powerful story of your day.

So if you like what you see, please call me at 843-377-8652 or email at images@peterfinger.com.

    Thanks,

    Pete

Sarah and Keith Engaged in Charleston, SC

Sarah and Keith are so much fun!  “We are a bit goofy”, they told me before the shoot started. “Great, I love that.”.  We explored a cool Charleston downtown for several hours. Can’t wait for the wedding. Engagement sessions should be fun and they made this session a blast.

Snow in Charleston ( Daniel Island, SC) snow!!

Woke up this morning to real live SNOW!  3 inches of snow landed on Daniel Island for the first time in ten years. The kids were out making snowman and I was out trying to capture some snow images before the melt. The melting started quickly and most of the snowman ( and snow women) were a fond and fun memory by evening.

Amber and Seth – Engaged!

Amber and Seth are getting married in March. But this past week they had a blast all over downtown Charleston. They were so much fun and so easy to work with. I can’t wait to shoot Amber’s bridals on Daniel Island in a few weeks and then their wedding at the Daniel Island Club later in the month.  Thanks for being such good sports on another cool Charleston morning.

Learning from the Masters

At least twice a year I attend a professional workshop that helps me expand my learning and open my eyes even wider.

This past week I attended such an even with not one but two of the best wedding photographers in the world.  Cliff Mautner taught a workshop session on using light, especially outdoor light in your wedding photography.

The next day was a full day workshop session is one of my hero’s in this business, Joe Buissink. This internationally known celebrity wedding photographer gave us over 8 hours of his perspective, his business and his beautiful work.

I always come home refreshed with the knowledge shared and goals revisited.

FAVS – Engagements

From time to time I will be posting some FAVS. These favorite images will be different subject matter, themes and I hope you like my first one….ENGAGEMENTS. I love to shoot engagements! This is the perfect opportunity for everyone to get to know each other a bit better before the wedding. I take 2-3 hours with these shoots, multiple locations and we just have a blast. Wear bright clothes and a change of outfits
