Vincent Popolizio was an artist, educator, wonderful loving husband and father of my wife JoAna. He passed away recently and I wanted to share with you the self portrait you see beside this post. He painted in his late eighties and was during his lifetime a graduate of Yale, an art teacher and during most of his professional life, the Bureau Chief for Art Education in New York State.
I will remember Vinny as an artist, an avid tennis player, a mentor (I was also an art teacher and fine arts painter), and the man who gave me his daughter’s hand in marriage.
